Course description. This course introduces Ignatian contemplative prayer found throughout
the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. It combines experience and prayer, reflection
on experience, discernment, and spiritual direction with theological underpinnings of each
element. The course is intended for persons who seek a personal relationship with Jesus as the
foundation for their discipleship and/or ministry. It can serve as a refresher for those who have
made the Spiritual Exercises. It can also be a gateway for making the 19th Annotation Retreat
from September 2025 to May 2026, and ongoing formation in the discernment of becoming a
spiritual director.
Cost: $650 for tuition and lunch. An additional $500 for four overnight accommodations of private
room, full bathroom, continental breakfast and home-cooked dinner.
